Tutor Bird Dummy Red

Designed on the chassis of the Award wining design original tutor bird but from the ground up giving it some new features and improvements whilst retaining the features that are proven to have worked very well.

Scented inner fill to train a dog to use its nose , Satin red in colour so as to not reflect ambient light making it about the hardest colour for a dog to see on plain grass or cover, but visually obvious when thrown through the air due to its wide marking streamer tail.

Floats for ever and can be used on land or water and is great at shedding both water and dirt so its a clean and convenient dummy to carry .

Improved finish gives it more texture making it less slippy when wet unlike other PVC dummies . The outer skin finish is thicker and far more robust so more impervious to marking and puncture from landing on rough terrain or an over zealous youngster.

The body is developed to give a softer more natural feel to the dog. Overall the easier the dog can hold the dummy the less effort it has to exert to carry the retrieve so it helps to encourage a softer mouth.

The body shape is the biggest development and has been designed to give a more random feel to the dogs mouth to accustom it to varying shapes with a specific pair of flat spots that gives the dog a perfect place to hold , like with a real bird there is that comfortable spot the experienced dog will find to carry the bird and the New tutor bird builds on this to help the dog look to establish the grip it needs so as to avoid fussing and mouthing with the dummy once in the correct position.

The free moving head, long tail that improves marking and bead that encourages the dog not to shake have all been retained from the original...no need to fix what works very well.

Weight remains at approx. 150 grams which is good for all dogs from youngsters to older dogs whilst making it very easy to throw accurately and a good distance by even the less coordinated trainer
